Scrambler Ducati je amerikaniziran talijanski motocikl. Novi brend u Europi, Americi? Scrambler se proizvodi u Italiji, ali i na Tajlandu, baš kao i u Brazilu. Ne morate se brinuti. Isti standardi kvalitete primjenjuju se u cijelom svijetu. Bar kad je u pitanju Audi, većinski vlasnik čuvene tvornice iz male ulice Borgo Pan.
Položaj sjedenja je, zahvaljujući udobnom sjedalu i širokom i relativno visokom upravljaču, više nego udoban. Na njemu se sjedi uspravno i ugodno je sve do brzine od 160 km/h. Tada zakoni aerodinamike presuđuju protiv vozača.
Kokpit je moderan, LCD digitalan, motocikl ima ugrađen ABS na oba kotača, a jedina zamjerka ide na račun sile koju je potrebno primijeniti prilikom kočenja. Za kraći zaustavni put, potrebno je prilično jako stisnuti ručicu prednje kočnice. Gume na verziji ICON dimenzija su 110/80ZR-18 sprijeda te 180/55ZR-17 straga. All-round su namjene i Pirelli ih je posebno razvio za ovaj motocikl. Montirane su na alu kotače, a odlikuju se zavidnim prianjanjem kako na asfaltu tako i van njega.
Dizajn? Riječ o atraktivnom motociklu za kojim će se većina okrenuti. Je li Scrambler retro motocikl? U Ducatiju kažu da nije. Samo je ime staro, motocikl je nov. Njime su Talijani zaista otkrili Ameriku. Pitanje je samo koje godine?
Još jedan puzzle u kolekciji novostvorenih industrijskih vrijednosti. Prava je istina da je Scrambler stvoren davno, na zahtjev tadašnjeg uvoznika Ducatija za SAD koji je tražio malen, lagan motocikl, za svaku namjenu i svaki teren. Također, motocikl je morao biti pogodan i za Dirt- track utrke iz tog doba. Scrambler se proizvodio od 1962.- 1975., imao je najviše 450 ccm, bio je lak i upravljiv na svim terenima. Novi je model njegova reinkarnacija, ali s preokrenutim imenom. Da je to ustvari pravi Ducati, dokazuje činjenica da je u njega ugrađen, iz Monstera preuzet, samo malo “naboran” uljem hlađen, elektronski napajan Desmodromic V agregat s dva ventila po cilindru, koji pri 8250/min iz 803 ccm zapremine istiskuje 75 konja. Kut prednje Kayabine 41 mm upside – down vilice, pomaknut je na 24 stupnja, čime je dobivena mirnoća upravljača prilikom vožnje.
Naravno, položeniji kut vilice rezultirao bi lošijim manevarskim sposobnostima kod prebacivanja iz zavoja u zavoj. Tu je primjenjena stara američka škola nižeg težišta. I sve je došlo na svoje. Cijena u Hrvatskoj od 69.990 kuna na više.
